NEWS: NEW LONDON LEAGUE AND PROGRAMME INITIATIVE LAUNCHED
Updated: May 2, 2025
The London Recreation (REC) Programme is creating exciting opportunities for females to get involved in football.
Established by the Amateur FA, the initiative supports players from inner-city areas and beyond through partnerships, events and fundraising.
Amateur London FA coach Samantha Brown highlighted the rising need for grassroots opportunities, particularly in inner-city areas.
“We've seen the popularity of women's football soar, especially after England's success at the Euros and World Cup.
London needs more grassroots and semi-professional initiatives to make football accessible to everyone.”
