NEWS: WATFORD WOMEN TO PLAY ALL LEAGUE GAMES AT VICARAGE ROAD THIS SEASON

In big news, Watford FC Women are set to play all their Women's Super League (WSL) 2 matches at their main stadium this season, following a successful trial in 2025/26.
The Golden Girls previously played the rest of their matches at Vicarage Road and won promotion last season at the stadium, making a return to the second tier of women's football since 2023/24.
This move puts the team more in line with the men's side, who consistently play at the main stadium and will hopefully bring more eyes onto the club and the sport.
Head of Women's Football Helen Ward told watfordfc.com:
'It suits us as a team because of the way we play, and having a home that the fans are familiar with, where we can showcase what we are all about, is fantastic for the players and staff.
'It’s also an incredible opportunity for us to try and bring more fans to our home games, and provide them with a really brilliant matchday experience. '
'I’m over the moon to confirm Vicarage Road as our home ground'. added head coach Renee Hector.
'I’ve had very positive experiences there, and I know that for the girls, when they turn up it’s really special. It seems to bring another level out of them and an extra one per cent out of the team. It brings more of a crowd, which spurs the team on and motivates them to put on a show.
'It’s really, really positive news. We hope we can make it our fortress and have some really positive results and performances there over the upcoming season.'
Watford will kick off the new season on September 4th at home against Burnley, who won the FA Women's National League Northern Division title, with their first away game being on September 13 at the City Ground.
