TRANSFER TALK: LONDON CITY LIONESSES SIGN SPAIN STARLET DANIELA ARQUES

London City Lionesses have strengthened their squad, signing youth player Daniela Arques from Sporting on a three-year deal subject to international clearance.
Arques becomes the latest addition to the club’s Spanish contingent, which already includes Liga F veterans Alexia Putellas and Mapi Leon, bolstering an already successful transfer window.
Arques, who began her career in Spain, will link up with London City manager Eder Maestre, whom she worked with in Portugal, where she played 32 matches.
'I'm really excited to be joining London City and can't wait to get started'. she said.
'Coming to the UK to play in the WSL is a brilliant opportunity, and I'm looking forward to developing as a player and as a person. Being surrounded by experienced players and learning from them every day is something I'm really excited about.'
On the international stage, she won the 2024 and 2025 European titles back to back with the under-19s before graduating to under-20s level.
