TRANSFER TALK: SZEMIK DEPARTS WEST HAM, RIANNA DEAN TO FULHAM
West Ham United have confirmed the departure of goalkeeper Kinga Szemik, who will join German side Hamburger SV on a permanent deal.
Szemik joined the Hammers in 2024 and made 23 apperances in all competitions in her debut season, helping the club set new records. She featured 22 times for the Irons in 2025-26, keeping three clean sheets.
Fulham Women have added forward Rianna Dean to their ranks ahead of the FA National League Southern Premier Division season from Ipswich Town.
Dean arrives in west London with a wealth of experience, having played for the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Southampton in the Women's Super League (WSL).
She previously represented Arsenal through their academy before earning a move to Spurs in 2018-19, where she made 49 apperances and scored 18 goals, helping the team to secure promotion to the top tier. She went on to gain further experience with Liverpool, Southampton and Crystal Palace, before her short spell with Ipswich.
The Cottagers hope Dean will bring further attacking firepower, experience and depth as
they prepare for the new season under head coach Steve Jaye.
On her arrival at Fulham, Dean told club media:
'It's really nice and really exciting. Speaking to Steve and the ambition of the club, yeah, it was just sort of a no-brainer for me and where the club are going is something definitely I want to be part of.
I think Fulham's massive, it's a massive club. The history of it and the way Steve's doing things here with the women's team and where they've come from and how they're doing things the right way and obviously being unbeaten for two years is incredible.
I'm very passionate when I play. Hopefully I bring some goals. And yeah, I just sort of leave everything out there on the pitch, give my all. I like to press well, work hard and score loads of goals.'
